In 2002, HCIF created the Delaware Valley Medication Safety Award to recognize teams that were working to advance medication safety. Over the past several years, many of the entries have reflected exemplary efforts to promote both patient safety and medication safety. In 2008, HCIF broadened the criteria and changed the name of the award to include projects that demonstrate innovative and replicable patient safety projects.

The entries represented an impressive demonstration of safety improvements across the region.
