This capstone conference, entitled “Pennsylvania’s Pressure Ulcer Journey: Past, Present and Future”, marked the end of the Pennsylvania Pressure Ulcer Partnership, an 18-month statewide collaborative aimed at the prevention of pressure ulcers in healthcare organizations across Pennsylvania. The conference featured wound care experts Dr. Diane Krasner and Dr. Janice Beitz; regional best practice presentations; an overview of collaborative accomplishments and results; and a storyboard display of some of the region’s most innovative pressure ulcer prevention strategies. Data that demonstrates significant improvements in implemented processes related to prevention was also shared.
