Organizations were encouraged to participate in monthly audioconferences on topics related to pressure ulcer prevention and treatment. The first six calls were offered at no charge to participants through the generous support of Independence Blue Cross, Capital Blue Cross, and Highmark Blue Shield. The remaining audioconferences were funded through a generous research grant from Medline Industries, Inc.
The May 21st audioconference featured a presentation entitled “Baseline Self-Assessment and Data Review: The First Six Months”, by Pam Braun RN, MSN, Health Care Improvement Foundation; Jane Montgomery, BSN MBA, Hospital Council of Western Pennsylvania; and Sharon Muscatell, RN, The Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania.
