Green Facilities Workgroup

Meetings of the Green Facilities Workgroup have included a tour of LEED-certified renovations at Mercy Suburban Hospital and the green facility at DEP headquarters in Norristown. In March 2008, HCIF co-sponsored an Executive Level Briefing entitled "Green Health Care: Good Policy and Good Business." Partnering with the Hospital & Higher Education Authority of Philadelphia and the law firm Post & Schell, the briefing provided a forum for senior healthcare executives and other business leaders to raise awareness and commitment to energy options and sustainable construction. A progress report on the Green Hospital Pilot was featured on the agenda.
