Pamela Braun, RN, MSN, is the HCIF Director of Patient Safety Programs. In this role, she is responsible for the coordination of programs funded by the Partnership for Patient Care. Current projects include:
- Working with nationally renowned consultants Healthcare Performance Improvement (HPI) LLC on the implementation of a high-reliability safety culture with the region's hospitals;
- Directing the regional Clostridium Difficile collaborative which began in November 2009.
- Directing the activities of the Pennsylvania Pressure Ulcer Partnership.
- Assisting in the Readmissions initiative, slated to begin in spring 2010;
Pam was previously with Virtua Health in Marlton, New Jersey, where she was the Director of Quality at the Voorhees division for five years followed by a corporate position as the Director of Clinical Practice, Standards and Excellence in the Patient Care Services Department. Prior to this, Pam was a consultant for CareScience, a data analyst at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and a staff nurse (primarily in obstetrics) at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University Hospital.
Pam’s educational background includes a BSN from Villanova University and an MSN from the University of Pennsylvania.
