Representatives of hospitals, nursing homes, and LTACs attended a conference on November 12 at the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, which served as the launch of a 12- to 18-month regional collaborative aimed at preventing C. difficile infections, with funding provided by the Partnership for Patient Care. The featured speaker was Carolyn Gould, MD, who discussed the latest evidence in the prevention and treatment of C. difficile.
